We had a bad experience here 20 years ago and just never returned. So glad we finally returned. Food portions and price were very reasonable. Our waitress made our meal. She was friendly, attentive, and a pure joy! Food was incredible. All staff friendly...greeted you..and made us feel welcome!! Will definitely be back!!!!
Always amazing! Whether you eat inside the restaurant or on the back deck, you won't be disappointed. The seafood is always fresh off the boat, which you can easily tell by the taste! Be sure to try the Fried Scallops and the Crab Fingers, as they have always been a favorite of mine. If you're eating on the back deck, be sure to get some of the Creamy Crab ???? soup ???? from the Raw Bar as you enjoy the beautiful views of the fishing boats and Yacht Club. As for the Lobster ????, well, the name says it all! I highly recommend this establishment for ANY occasion! ????
Nothing better than sitting by the water with a beer and some stone crabs! So many choices at the Lobster House- and they're great.
Best dining experience our whole vacation to NJ! Being from Florida, my husband and I eat seafood often, but this place beats all restaurants we've been to in FL. Worth the hype! Service was phenomenal also.
Sometimes it is so hard to get into The Lobster House this time of year but we were lucky tonight. The food was excellent and the view on the deck was great. One of my favorites when visiting Cape May and the Clam Bake diner we found reasonable at $32.99, when you compare how much fast food and restaurants have become.
The Cape May Lobster House can feed a mass of hungry seafood ???? craving families! No shortage of any menu items with the huge parking lot full to capacity at 5pm. Seafood broil ???????? $43.50 was average and Crab Imperial ???? $36 and Sauteed Crab ???? $36 were fine as well. The parade of million dollar Sport Fishing yachts passing by was endless throughout dinner which truly demonstrated the affluent population of Cape May.
An absolute must for our family whenever we are anywhere close to Cape May! Great, fresh seafood, clean taste. One of my favorites, can't go wrong with anything here. Love the oyster bar, too!!
We have eaten at The Lobster House several times. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a delicious meal by the water. They also have superb seafood available to purchase and take home to prepare. I have never seen a better quality of seafood available. Did I mention the desserts? They are heavenly. We chose the Tuxedo Cheesecake, Peanut Butter Explosion, and the Dark Side of the Moon (had to as a Pink Floyd fan). All amazing. Now stop reading this review and get over there!
My favorite place to stop at out of town before the drive back up north. I took my fiancée who has never been to Cape May and grew up in a shore town with fresh seafood, and even she thought this place was fantastic. Got the lobster salad sandwich which was awesome, the calamari (my personal staple here), onion rings which were amazing, and a clam chowder that was rich and flavorful. Also, getting food and sitting outside on the water has a certain fun ambience about it. If you don’t check this place out during your stay or on the way out, you missed out.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Excellent customer service from the time you walk through the door. The food was delicious; I got the snow crab legs boil and it was seasoned to perfection! Peter, our server was phenomenal.
